It has been very hot here, hot enough for me to wear shorts and tank tops everyday, so I got my most "sophisticated" shorts and tank to create this look. I wanted to update my blog so I wore something more realistic based on the weather here.

 I recently finished ready one of the best books I have ever read, Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets. I feel in love with the book once I started reading it, reasons why I finish it so quickly. It was a very deep and lovely book. Sad at times and a bit funny at others. I'm looking for a new book to read something light, funny or adventurous. So any recomendations are very welcome =)

Hai! Last week I went shopping with my mom and decided to wear something appropriate for the weather, a flowy tribal skirt and a lightweight blouse. I've been very very lazy with my outfit post, got tons of ootd waiting to be posted. But since the summer started all I have wanted to do is wear my pajamas while watching my favorite tv shows in my bed full of candy and potato chips or to be at the beach and eat hamburgers while reading Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets. All that and nothing else. And talking about books, just finished reading The Fridgularity which started as very original and funny book but got tedious and it almost took me the whole summer to try to finish it. And by that I leave you with my favorite quote of the book: 

"To live for the hope of something isn't really living at all"

Hello!

It's my birthday and I cry if I want to. And while I didn't filled my face with tears, I filled them with delicious barbecue sauce and ribs from Famous Dave's. Everything happened last Sunday were I celebrated my birthday at the same time as father's day. And while I may be getting too old for presents (sobbing) my mom still gets me the best ones ever: The Fridgularity and Dr. Birds's Advace for Sad Poets. Perfect timing since I finished reading the Uglies trilogy (1st book amazing, 2nd good, 3rd eh). I started reading The Fridgularity which makes me laugh in every page. And I got for myself this pretty H&M dress from New York. The moment an H&M store opens here in Puerto Rico that would make my heart very happy.

I have lived the coldest day Puerto Rico's weather can give, so this cozy maroon sweater from Urban Outfitters gives the perfect amount of warm and cuteness. And since I started working I've been reviving one of my true love, which is reading. I wanted something funny to bright up this hard working and lots of studying days, so I bought Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life and I regret nothing.

Recently I finished reading this amazing book and I never thought I would learn that much about myself with just 288 pages. The reading flowed easily and the characters where easy to relate to. I encourage you all to read it too.

Now to the outfit, I was so happy when I received my claw bracelet that I didn't waited much to make an outfit including it. I found this beautiful spot full of amapolas, while taking the photos and it was perfect for my summer to fall colored outfit. Hope you guys loved the photos.

Hello happy people!

I just finished reading the book The Maze Runner and I'm so freaking confuse but glad I started reading this book. It was amazing and filled with lots of action pack moments. Now I'm waiting impatiently for the second book to arrive. I also finished watching season 3 of The Office, I've been watching this show nonstop since I discover it last month and I regret nothing! Lol

So I decided to start a little challenge for this spring/summer. Like everybody knows I'm poor lol, so I decided to do a list of S/S clothing items that I would really want to have and then I'm giving myself a week to make each one or two. I'm going to called it S/S DIY. So I'm officially announcing it here so that way I force myself to do this. Last week I made this bright pink circle skirt which I've been wanting for a long time and paired it with this lovely crochet top from Forever 21. Hope you guys enjoy this new project.

I got so much to say, so here it goes: 

Yesterday I went to the church to celebrate Holy Week. Later that day I visited my grandma and her family. i ate a lot of paella and watched the movie The Adventures of TinTin, which got me amazed by how real the cartoons looked. My grandma even said: "but why the dog looks like a cartoon?", which was hilarious because she thought she was watching an action live movie. And also it was very fun to watch it with her because she laughs a lot which makes it more enjoyable for me. =) So this was my yesterday's outfit where I wore a beautiful blouse from Lulu*s. I bought it with a gift card I won from the Top Fan contest at Lulu’s facebook. And a Forever21 skirt and whistle necklace.

I'm also joining the 2012 50 books challenge, but I'm going to read only 25. So, so far I read: 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper and Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. And I started to read The Maze Runner by James Dashner. And so far it's been very entertaining.

Ps. I thinking on maybe switching from blogger to Tumblr. It's better, easier and I could get more followers there. I don't know. What do you guys think I should do?

Extraordinary things only happen to extraordinary people

Hello, my lovely people!
I know I been absent for a long time but, I lost my camera's cable and my mom was on vacation so she wasn't able to upload my photos. But now she's back at work and you know what that means, a new blog post!!
Ok so this summer has been kind of relaxing but at the same time a little bit crazy. I have went shopping at  malls that are too far from home so they turn out into little road trips. I have went to the movies every week and I have been very pleased with every movie that I have seen so far (Super 8, Transformers, Bad Teacher and of course, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows). I read "The Virginity Club" and was better than what I expected, I really recommend it and I'm currently reading "The 5 people you meet in heaven". And the only time that I went to the beach I cut my leg with a glass and ended up getting 6 stitches on my leg. But I'm ok :)

Se que he estado ausente por mucho tiendo, pero es que el cable de mi cámara se perdió y mi mama estaba de vacaciones así que no podía cargar las fotos en su computadora. Pero ahora regreso al trabajo y saben lo que eso significa, Un nuevo post para el blog!!

Este verano ha sido un poco relajante pero a la misma vez un poco loco. He ido a malls que se encuentran muy lejos de mi casa así que el camino se convertía un pequeños road trips. He ido al cine todas las semanas y he estado bastante complacida con las películas que he visto (Super 8, Transformers, Bad Teacher y por supuesto, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows).
